1.1 Background of the Study

Local government councils are the closest governmental institutions to the people, and their effectiveness in service delivery directly impacts community development and quality of life. In Sabon Gari LGA, Kaduna State, waste management is a key service provided by the local government. Proper waste management is essential for maintaining public health, enhancing the aesthetic quality of the environment, and preventing environmental hazards.
